Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Turing Opera Workshop LLC, the owner and developer of Cantai (referred to as "Turing Opera Workshop," "Cantai," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, processes, and shares information about you through our website, the Cantai plugins and engine, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It covers Cantai in Dorico, Sibelius and DAWs, and users accessing Cantai through integrations such as MuseScore Studio.

All personal information is encrypted in transit and stored securely. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser keeps for a website. Ours fall into these groups:

What they never see Analytics and ad partners never receive your scores, lyrics, audio or anything you render.

If you're in Europe, the cookie notice asks before we use analytics and ad cookies: Accept allows both, Reject neither. Wherever you are, you can accept or reject them at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Essential cookies are always on, because the site doesn't work without them.

Data retention & deletion

24-hour file deletion policy All musical and creative files you upload are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 24 hours of processing. This includes data sent through integrations like MuseScore Studio.

Account Data — Name and email are retained as long as your account is active.
Purchase Records — Kept as long as accounting and tax law requires.
Cookies — Our own cookies last up to 180 days. Cookies from Google and Meta follow their own policies.
Account Deletion — Upon deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days, subject to legal obligations.

Model training

No training on user data We do not use your musical or creative data to train or improve our voice models. Your inputs are processed solely to generate your audio output, then automatically deleted per our 24-hour retention policy.

Ethical training commitment

Turing Opera Workshop's voice models are trained exclusively on material provided by contracted, paid artists and creatives. We respect intellectual property and compensate creators fairly.

Emails — Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
Cookies — Change your choice with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.

If you're in the EU or UK

The GDPR protects your data, and Turing Opera Workshop LLC is its controller.

Legal basis — We use your data to provide what you signed up for or bought (your account, purchases, renders and support); to meet legal duties (purchase and tax records); for our legitimate interest in keeping Cantai secure, preventing abuse and improving it (product usage, the device identifier); and with your consent (the newsletter, analytics and ad cookies). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Your rights — You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to send it to you or another service in a portable format. Write to us and we'll take care of it.
Transfers to the US — We're based in the United States, so your data is transferred to and stored in the US, by us and by the providers listed in Data sharing. Our providers transfer data under standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Complaints — We'd rather hear from you first, but you can always complain to the data protection authority where you live (in the UK, the ICO).
