No piano-roll surgery or phoneme editing required. Cantai for DAWs works the way songwriters already do.

Write your lyrics

A built-in notebook holds your song — verses, choruses, and all. Edit freely, any time, like any text you'd write.

Step 2 · Your MIDI

Play your melody

Record MIDI on the track as usual, then play the part once in your DAW. Cantai hears every note and lays it out on its melody map.

Step 3 · Melody map

Place words on notes

Cantai places each syllable on your notes, in the order you wrote them. Move a word or give a syllable more notes right from the keyboard. Press play and hear a real vocal performance, rendered on your machine.

Sticky Lyrics.

Once a word belongs to a note, it stays there. Rewrite a line and the melody keeps singing. Rerecord a passage and your words find their notes again. Rearrange the song and the lyric follows. Even add or remove notes inside a phrase — the words stay put.

MODs apply at render time and never touch your MIDI: switch one off and your take is exactly as you played it.

Stack a Unison ensemble, loosen the timing with Humanize, shift the register with Transpose, or let Vocalise improvise scat syllables over your melody.

Harmony reads chord symbols written right in your lyric notebook — jot Cm7 above a line and the voices follow.

If a word ever sings wrong, retype it the way it sounds, in capital letters. Cantai takes the hint, restores your original spelling, and remembers that pronunciation from then on.

Cantai for DAWs also runs in Score mode. Point it at a Cantai project from Dorico, Sibelius, or MuseScore Studio and it plays your rendered voices in sync with your session — each part on its own track, under your faders, ready to mix. And it stays live: tweak a lyric or a note in your notation app and the new render appears in your DAW instantly.
