End user license agreement.
In short: install Cantai on your own computers and use it through Cantai's apps. Don't take the engine or the voices apart, and don't connect other software to them.
This agreement is between you and Turing Opera Workshop LLC ("we," "us"). It covers the software you install: the Cantai plugin, Cantai for DAWs, the Cantai Engine, their voice models, installers and updates (together, the "Software"). By installing or using the Software you accept it. If you don't, don't install it.
The Software is licensed, not sold. Your account, purchases and use of our online services are covered by the Terms of Service, which are part of this agreement.
Your license
While you have a valid plan, an approved educational plan or the free trial, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install the Software on computers you own or control and to use it there, for your own work, as your plan allows. The license is for the person who holds the account; others may not use it, even on your computers.
The Cantai Engine
The same applies to its local connection, its voice models and the audio it produces along the way. To build Cantai into your own product, contact us through the Partners page; that is only possible under a separate written agreement.
Restrictions
Except where the law expressly allows it despite this limitation, you may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or decrypt the Software, or try to extract its voice models, keys or source code.
- Get around activation, the free-trial limit, version checks, or any other protection of the Software.
- Copy, modify or redistribute the Software or its installers, or make it available to others.
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense or transfer the Software or your license.
- Use the Software, or what it sings, to train or build another voice model.
- Remove or change any notice of ownership in the Software.
Activation & updates
- Activation — The Software is activated with the account token from your Profile and is tied to the computers you activate. It needs an internet connection to check your license, even when it renders on your computer.
- Usage data — The Software reports what the Privacy Policy describes, such as which voice rendered and for how long. It never sends us your music to keep.
- Updates — We release updates to fix problems, keep the Software secure and add features. An old version may stop working and ask you to update, and the Software may update or replace its own engine when you install a newer Cantai product.
Third-party components
The Software includes components from other authors, which are licensed under their own terms. Their notices are installed with the Software. Nothing in this agreement limits the rights those licenses give you over those components.
Ending
This license lasts while your plan does, or for as long as a lifetime license covers the version you have. It ends automatically if you break this agreement, and you must then uninstall the Software. The sections on restrictions, the warranty and liability and governing law continue after it ends.
General
The Software is provided "as is," with the warranty and liability terms of the Terms of Service, and this agreement is governed by the law stated there. You must follow the export and sanctions laws that apply to the Software. If you have questions, email support@turingoperaworkshop.zendesk.com.
